The Amazoness Quartet
This one was all Prae's idea. Since we were trying to save as much money as possible, we went for it, being that they're tiny costumes. We are, however, on the look out for a Vesves. Let us know if you're interested. ^_^ SoA swears that she doesn't intentionally pick tiny costumes, but this is definately her tiniest yet. It was Prae's first cosplay, so they let her pick, and SoA has always had an attachment to all of the Amazoness girls.
So far, we have mostly worked on small things, like belts, bows, flowers, duct tape shoes, and SoA's painted ovals. When we all finally got together to work on all the costumes one night, however, the power went out. We didn't let this stop us though. Out come the flashlights!
Through more sewing parties, more progress was made, and the wig took over SoA's bathroom. Good thing no one needed to use that bathroom for a while.
Finally complete! One evening after work, Prae and SoA went out for a photoshoot in the play ground of their old elementary school. It was a bit dark, but the gloomy feel really fit Cerecere's cute evilness.
And now, a story: For the last picture, Prae wanted me to be posing on the ground as if I had just fallen over and was laughing at myself. Laying on the grass in almost no clothing on a humid Minnesota night is not such a great thing, as one tends to attract lots of mosquitos and other bugs. While Prae was focusing the camera and I was trying hard to ignore the bugs, suddenly she screamed and flung the camera. I promply yelped as well when the camera rebounded off my face, leaving my nose throbbing, scratched up, and my lip bloody. As soon as Prae was sure that my nose wasn't broken, she confessed, "There was a ladybug in my face!" To which I replied, "There was a camera in my face." So we went ahead with the photo anyway, me cracking up on the ground with tears streaming down my face.
