Elf Maiden

I wore this one to The Return of the King opening night and it was a big hit.  People really loved how it looked.  When I first tried it on without the cape, the skirt was way too small and was almost impossible to get over my waist.  I swear I lost weight between then and December 17 because it fit much more nicely the second time.

The shirt was something I just had lying around and I altered it slightly for the costume by cutting off the ties.  I forgot my elvin teardrop necklace on opening night, so I just had to go without.  The skirt was made from some canvas-like fabric that matched my shirt very well and the cape was from blue cheese-cloth.  The clasps on the cape were actually large silver buttons and the chain was from an old necklace.  I borrowed Annie's necklace for a tiara on opening night as well, so it looked great.  The belt was made of ironing board cover material with some scraps from the skirt and some nice twisted string. Fun stuff!  I loved the length of the cape and the train on the skirt.  So much fun!  Styling my hair was fun too.  It was so poofy!
